Associated Organizations
The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) was established in 1963 through the merger of two founding organizations, the Institute of Aeronautical Sciences and the American Rocket Society, and is the largest professional society devoted to the progress of engineering and science in aviation and space. AIAA’s mission is to advance the arts, sciences, and technology of aerospace, and to nurture and promote the professionalism of those engaged in these pursuits. AIAA seeks to meet the professional needs and interests of its members, as well as to improve the public understanding of the profession and its contributions.
The SOSTC is a volunteer organization of individuals who are AIAA members. The group focuses on professional education of space operations and its technology developments for manned and unmanned missions, both in earth orbital and planetary operations, and with all the issues associated with space operations and support. Such support includes ground software, training, servicing, logistics, etc.
SOSTC regularly issues the SOSTC electronic journal “The Journal of Space Operations & Communicator” which is a joint SOSTC/SpaceOps publication:

A multidisciplinary journal for space flight operations the Journal of Space Operations & Communicator is jointly published by the AIAA Space Operations and Support Technical Committee and the SpaceOps Organization. This journal serves as a forum for those involved in the space operations field to communicate with one another in order to share ideas that could improve the way operations are carried out in space.
The Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) is a global non-governmental, non-profit organisation which aims to represent university students and young space professionals between the ages of 18-35 at the United Nations Committee for Peaceful Use of Outer Space (UN COPUOS), space agencies, industry, and academia.
